Official Rules & Guidelines
The ORKA Burpee Challenge is a rep-based international competition designed to test full-body endurance, explosive power, and discipline under strict verification standards. All participants must carefully follow the official rules below to ensure fairness, transparency, and eligibility for ranking, medals, and prize money.
1. Eligibility & Categories
Participants must register under the correct division:
- Age Categories: U14, U18, Open, 35+
- Gender Categories: Male & Female in each age group
Incorrect age or gender declaration may result in disqualification.
2. Equipment & Setup Requirements
To ensure global consistency:
- Flat, stable surface required
- Athlete must wear standard athletic attire
- Athletic shoes allowed
- No supportive equipment that enhances performance
- A clearly visible timer must appear in the video
- Camera must capture full body throughout the attempt
3. Official Burpee Standard (Strict Form)
Each burpee must follow this complete movement sequence:
- 1. Start standing upright
- 2. Squat down and place hands on floor
- 3. Jump feet back into plank position
- 4. Chest must touch the ground (full contact)
- 5. Push back up
- 6. Jump feet forward toward hands
- 7. Explosive jump upward
- 8. Hands must clearly go overhead at the top
Only burpees meeting all 8 steps will be counted.
Partial reps, half push-ups, or incomplete jumps will not count.
4. Time Format
- Official time duration will be announced (example: 60 seconds or 2 minutes).
- Athletes must perform maximum valid reps within the allowed time.
- Timer must remain visible throughout the video.
5. Start & End Rules
Start:
Timer begins when athlete initiates first downward movement.
End:
Time stops when official time expires.
Reps completed after buzzer will not count.
6. Counting & Rep Validation
- Only full-range burpees will be counted.
- Judges may deduct reps if:
- Chest does not touch floor
- No overhead jump
- Feet step instead of jump (if jumping is mandatory)
- Poor plank alignment
Final rep count is determined after video verification.
7. Video Submission Guidelines
To qualify for ranking:
- Full body must be visible at all times
- Timer must be clearly visible
- Video must be continuous (no cuts or edits)
- Proper lighting required
- Camera angle must clearly show floor contact and jump height
Edited or unclear videos will be rejected.
8. Attempts Policy
- Multiple attempts allowed during competition window
- Only best verified score appears on leaderboard
- Weekly progress tracking available for registered athletes
9. Live Ranking System
After verification, scores update in real time across:
- Age Category Ranking
- Gender Ranking
- National Ranking
- World Ranking
Only verified reps count toward medal positions and prize eligibility.
10. Disqualification Rules
Participants may be disqualified for:
- Edited or manipulated video
- Incomplete reps
- False category information
- External assistance
- Unsportsmanlike behavior
ORKA enforces strict fair-play standards.

- Top 3 athletes in each division receive official medals
- Prize money distributed according to category structure
- All verified participants receive digital certificate
