ORKA SINGLE LEG BALANCE CHALLENGE
Official Rules & Guidelines
The ORKA Single-Leg Balance Challenge is a Time Count Competition conducted through verified mobile video submission. All athletes must strictly follow the official rules below to ensure fair play, accurate ranking, and global standardization.
1. Eligibility
- Open to all athletes worldwide.
- Age Categories: U14, U18, Open, 35+ (as applicable to season structure).
- Separate Male & Female divisions in all categories.
- Athlete must register officially before submitting performance.
2. Equipment & Setup
- Flat, non-slippery surface is mandatory.
- Athlete must perform barefoot or in flat shoes (no specialized balance shoes).
- No wall, pole, chair, or object allowed for support.
- Camera must clearly show:
- Full body from head to toe
- Standing leg
- Timer (mobile stopwatch visible on screen or second device)
3. Starting Position
- Athlete stands upright on one leg.
- The non-supporting leg must be lifted off the ground.
- Hands can be:
- On hips
- Crossed on chest
- Extended sideways (must be declared before starting).
Once the timer starts, position must remain consistent.
4. Valid Performance Criteria
The attempt is considered valid if:
- Only one foot is in contact with the ground.
- Supporting foot remains in the same spot (minor natural movement allowed).
- Raised foot does NOT touch:
- Ground
- Supporting leg
- Any external object
Timer stops immediately if:
- Raised foot touches the ground.
- Supporting foot shifts significantly.
- Athlete hops or loses balance.
- Hands touch body part for support (unless pre-declared position).
- Athlete grabs external support.
5. Time Recording Rules
- Timer begins when non-supporting foot lifts off the ground.
- Timer ends at first rule violation.
- Maximum attempt duration may be capped (if season rules apply).
- Only one official submission allowed per ranking cycle unless weekly re-submission is permitted.
6. Video Submission Guidelines
- Video must be continuous (no cuts, edits, or slow motion).
- Clear lighting required.
- Face must be visible for identity verification.
- Upload within official submission window.
- Any suspicious or unclear video may be rejected.
7. Leaderboard & Ranking System
Approved performances will be ranked on:
- Age Category
- Gender Category
- National Ranking
- World Ranking
Rankings update live once verification is completed.
8. Fair Play Policy
Any manipulation, edited video, or false attempt leads to:
- Immediate disqualification
- Ranking removal
- Possible season ban
ORKA reserves the right to request re-submission for verification.
9. Tie-Breaking Rule
If two athletes record identical times:
- 1. Earlier submission gets higher rank
- 2. If still tied, additional verification round may be announced
10. Safety Disclaimer
Participants must:
- Perform within personal limits
- Avoid slippery or unsafe surfaces
- Consult a physician if medically advised
