ORKA MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS CHALLENGE
Official Rules & Guidelines
The ORKA Mountain Climbers Challenge is a Rep Count Competition conducted through verified mobile video submission. All participants must follow the official rules below to ensure fair competition, accurate scoring, and global standardization.
1. Eligibility
- Open to athletes worldwide.
- Age Categories: U14, U18, Open, 35+ (as per season structure).
- Separate Male & Female divisions in all categories.
- Athlete must complete official registration before submission.
2. Equipment & Setup
- Flat, stable surface required.
- Exercise mat allowed.
- Timer must be clearly visible throughout the video.
- Full body must remain visible from head to feet.
- Proper athletic attire required.
- No external assistance or equipment allowed.
3. Official Starting Position
- Begin in a high plank (push-up position).
- Arms fully extended.
- Hands directly under shoulders.
- Body in straight line from head to heels.
Timer starts when the first knee begins moving forward.
4. Official Movement Standard
Each repetition must follow strict form:
- 1. From plank position, drive one knee forward toward the chest.
- 2. Knee must reach at least hip level (or clearly forward under torso).
- 3. Leg must return fully to plank position before the opposite knee drives forward.
- 4. Movement must alternate left and right legs.

5. Valid Rep Criteria
A repetition counts only if:
- Full plank alignment is maintained.
- Knee clearly drives forward under torso.
- Leg fully extends back before switching sides.
- Movement is continuous and controlled.
Incomplete extension or shallow knee drive will not count.
6. Time Format
- Official duration (e.g., 60 seconds) will be announced before competition.
- Maximum valid repetitions within time limit determine final score.
- Reps not fully completed before time expires will not count.
7. Disqualification / Rep Rejection
Reps may be rejected for:
- Hips raised excessively or sagging significantly.
- Failure to alternate legs.
- Incomplete knee drive.
- Incomplete leg extension.
- Stopping plank position by resting knees on floor.
- Edited or interrupted video.
Timer stops immediately if knees touch the ground.
8. Video Submission Rules
- Continuous recording only (no cuts, edits, or zooms).
- Clear lighting required.
- Timer visible at all times.
- Athlete’s face visible at beginning or end for verification.
ORKA reserves the right to reject unclear submissions.
9. Attempts Policy
- One official submission per ranking cycle (unless weekly re-submission is allowed).
- If multiple attempts are allowed, only the best verified score appears on leaderboard.
10. Ranking System
Once verified, performances are ranked in:
- Age Category Leaderboard
- Gender Leaderboard
- National Ranking
- World Ranking
Rankings update dynamically as new scores are approved.
11. Tie-Breaking Policy
If two athletes achieve identical rep counts:
- 1. Earlier verified submission ranks higher.
- 2. Additional tie-break round may be announced if necessary.
12. Fair Play Policy
Strict zero tolerance for:
- Edited videos
- External assistance
- False age or identity declaration
- Mechanical support devices
Violation may result in disqualification or suspension.
13. Safety Guidelines
Participants must:
- Warm up before attempting
- Maintain controlled movement
- Avoid slippery surfaces
- Stop immediately if feeling dizziness or pain
ORKA is not responsible for injuries due to improper execution.
The ORKA Mountain Climbers Challenge rewards speed, endurance, and technical control. Follow the standards carefully, submit your strongest performance, and climb the national and global rankings with integrity.
