ORKA Wall Sit Challenge – Official Rules & Guidelines
The ORKA Wall Sit Challenge is a time-based endurance competition conducted under strict verification standards to ensure fairness, transparency, and international credibility. All participants must carefully follow the official rules below to qualify for ranking, medals, and prize eligibility.
1. Eligibility & Categories
Participants compete under the following official divisions:
- Age Categories: U14, U18, Open, 35+
- Gender Categories: Male & Female in each age group
Athletes must register under the correct age and gender category. Providing incorrect information may result in disqualification.
2. Equipment & Setup Requirements
To ensure uniform standards worldwide:
- A flat vertical wall must be used.
- The surface must be stable and non-slippery.
- Athlete must wear proper athletic attire (no supportive gear like knee braces that enhance performance unless medically required).
- Shoes are allowed but must be standard athletic footwear.
- A visible timer must be displayed in the video (mobile screen, stopwatch, or digital clock).
3. Correct Wall Sit Position
For a valid performance:
- Back must remain fully in contact with the wall.
- Knees must be bent at approximately 90 degrees (thighs parallel to the ground).
- Feet shoulder-width apart and flat on the ground.
- Arms must not rest on thighs. They may be:
- Crossed over chest, OR
- Extended forward without touching legs.
- No shifting upward or downward to reduce pressure.
Improper depth or posture will lead to warning or invalidation.
4. Start & End of Timing
Start:
- Timer begins when the athlete reaches proper 90-degree position.
End:
Time stops when:
- Hips rise above 90-degree level, OR
- Back loses contact with wall, OR
- Hands touch thighs or wall for support, OR
- Feet move significantly from original position.
Judges reserve the right to stop timing if posture breaks.
5. Video Submission Rules
To qualify for live ranking:
- Full body must remain visible throughout the video.
- Timer must be clearly visible at all times.
- Video must be continuous (no cuts or edits).
- Camera angle must clearly show knee angle and wall contact.
- Upload must be made through official ORKA submission platform.
Edited or unclear videos will be rejected.
6. Verification & Ranking System
- All videos undergo review before approval.
- Once verified, time is entered into the Live Ranking System.
- Rankings update across:
- Age Category Leaderboard
- Gender Leaderboard
- National Leaderboard
- World Leaderboard
Only verified performances are eligible for medals and prize money.
7. Attempts Policy
- Participants may upload multiple attempts during the competition window.
- Only the best verified time will reflect on the leaderboard.
- Weekly progress tracking is available for registered athletes.
8. Fair Play & Disqualification
Disqualification may occur if:
- False age/gender declaration
- Edited or manipulated videos
- External physical support
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
ORKA maintains zero tolerance for cheating to protect global competitive integrity.
9. Awards & Recognition
- Top 3 athletes in each division receive official medals.
- Prize money distributed as per category structure.
- Digital certificate issued to all verified participants.
